It’s difficult to put into words how much my husband and I loved and appreciated Linda as our doula. I can honestly say that having her with us has most certainly made me a better mother.

Linda is knowledgeable, dependable, caring, responsible, and easy going.  More importantly, she exhibited a genuine love and warmth towards our baby – a rare quality. They have developed such a beautiful bond and we hope to continue having her visit our son and help in his development as he grows. Linda has been an amazing gift to our family! Our first week home from the hospital with my son was challenging, especially nights. He would only fall asleep in someone’s arms. 

In just one night, Linda was able to transition him to sleeping independently in his bassinet. And after three nights with Linda, we have been able to successfully continue the routine of him sleeping independently in his bassinet.

Linda is an absolute joy to work with! She has a very calming and soothing presence, and my son loves her and is very comfortable in her care. As a first time Mom, I’m grateful for Linda’s many years of experience with babies and children and her willingness to openly share her knowledge and wisdom with me in a gentle and supportive way.

I needed a last-minute doula for my two-month-old daughter while I was spending the summer in Toronto with my family. I had figured that by two months she would be sleeping a little bit better than when she was a newborn old, but it wasn’t changing. She was sleeping an hour and a half at a time at night, and I really needed help. I contacted Linda and within a few days she was at the house. Linda worked with the baby each night she was here, getting longer and longer stretches of sleep. She also taught me what I needed to do in order to get her sleeping at night. I have seen such amazing progress, I never thought I would see my daughter sleep seven hours straight in just over a month of working with Linda. I really enjoyed having her around. She is lovely, trustworthy, kind and I know my daughter feels good being in her care. I’ve worked with other doulas and Linda is a cut above. I was very fortunate to find her, I can’t recommend her enough.

Linda is a team player who is easy and delightful to work with.  Her consistent reflection as well as her willingness to learn and grow are truly inspirational.  Linda shows excellent leadership skills and frequently initiates collaboration with her colleagues.  She is always open to feedback and asks meaningful questions.  She is also happy to share her own innovative and creative ideas with others.   

I know that Linda will give 150% to York University's Faculty of Education program.  I also know that she will then apply 150% of the knowledge and experience she gains to her future teaching career.   If I had my choice of anyone for a teaching partner, I would pick Linda, hands down!
