Bees Doula

I strongly believe in inclusion and diversity; therefore, low socioeconomic status should not be a barrier to preventing a birthing person from receiving support from a doula. I will not dismiss any birthing person due to their financial status.

Bees Doula is committed to ensuring professionalism and non-judgmental care that is inclusive of all families, respectful of diversity, and able to support families from the first stage of pregnancy and throughout the post-delivery period or at any point in the process.

Doulas can empower birthing people to achieve the best possible birth outcomes no matter where it happens - at home or hospital OR how it happens - natural birth or C-section. 

Doulas provide support in many forms: Physical,  Emotional, Practical, and Educational.

In addition, mothers/birthing persons and infants seem happier when a doula provides support. This is because a doula focuses on individual support before, during, and after birth, whereas nurses must often attend to several women in labour.

A doula is a trained professional who provides physical, emotional, and informational support before and after childbirth. A doula does not replace a doctor, partner, or midwife; instead, a doula is an asset to the maternity team. They are ensuring the birthing person has the experience they want. A doula is there to provide constant comfort and to facilitate important information between midwives and birthing persons.
